unnamed1.  What do you do for a living (company you work for, official title, daily responsibilities, etc.)?

For the last four years, I’ve been the innovator behind eMarketing Copywriter. I’ve written for hundreds of businesses, blowing up SEO blogging campaigns and providing marketing consultations for coaches that are launching large. I earn a full-time living working part-time – and you can too!

I’m moving over into teaching heart-centered entrepreneurs & coaches how to sell their services without selling their soul. Templates, checklists & done-for-you copy will make it easier for you beautiful people to get your message out there (while increasing sales, too.)

2.  Can you tell us a little more about the beginnings of your blog, when/why did you start it and what has been your biggest ah-ha moments?

Seven years ago, I joined a start-up corporation. I was out hustling four or more nights a week (about six events plus many many meetings).

Despite selling over $120,000 my second year in sales, I was only able to attract a few whales (big clients) into the business. Inbound marketing, such as Hubspot, was on the rise, and we jumped on the bandwagon.

Within months, the phone started to ring as business came to us. I was responsible for updating the website content & blogging (plus all those sales!) An extension of my daily life, I wrote on everything that related to our industry.

Big ah-ha? When used in conjunction with other initiatives, blogging can be a great way to increase website traffic. For personal blogs, be patient, Grasshopper, it takes about a year of serious effort and energy to even get noticed in today’s market.

3.  Where do you pull your inspiration from (in relation to your blog)?

Life is inspiration. Remember that I work with lots of clients, copywriting their blogs. When I help them design their business, we think about their ideal audience and write directly to these clients.

In the mix, their should always be evergreen content that tells the world who you are, what you do, and who you do it for. I was just reading about a winery blog that used a rubber chicken as a mascot; within a year he had directly generated over $60,000 of (wine sales) revenue from his blog.

It doesn’t matter what inspires you so long as you pull all that focused, quirky passion into your blog. And then stick with it. Consistency is the #1 key to successful marketing.

4.  What (offline) hobbies do you like to do in your spare time?

I’m a hiker, camper, eco-chick who loves to travel. I was just about to hit Book Now on three weeks of hiking the Anna Purna Circuit in Nepal when I realized that launching my sales copywriting group-coaching program from the Himalayas might not be so wise. Being an adult stinks sometimes.

And for those of you in the Philadelphia area, I love to cook. Stop by anytime for porch sitting & microbrews. If you need to chat business, I live and breathe entrepreneurship. I’m reading the book Triggers next for a local book club.

5.  If your blog was an animal, what animal would it be?

Right about now…road kill.  I have redesigned my website to reflect my new direction – teaching heart-centered entrepreneurs sales copywriting via my new group coaching & DIY course.

Once this website launches, get ready for the soulful Sphynx to take over. We’re going to start digging deep into the philosophies behind business that help us profit from our passions – 1,000 True Fans anyone?

And if you haven’t already booked your NEPA BlogCon ticket – what are you waiting for? I’d love to meet you in person and learn more about who you are. Can’t wait to see you on September 12!
